Worthing Museum & Art Gallery

Worthing Museum and Art Gallery has one of the largest costume and textile collections in the UK

Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, located near the grade II* listed St Paul’s, has been a prominent cultural institution since its centenary in 2008. Originally designed to house the town’s library and museum, it is now the largest museum in West Sussex.

The museum features one of the UK’s largest costume and textile collections, showcasing the evolution of women’s fashion in the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as a selection of menswear. Additionally, it holds significant archaeological records, including the John Pull Collection of Neolithic flint mines and the Highdown Goblet, an Ancient Egyptian artifact.
