Worthing Town Centre Recovering Well

Worthing Town Centre is seeing strong recovery as restrictions lift and life starts to return to some sort of normality.

Worthing  Footfall was at its highest in September for the year, so far,  with 651,122 visits. This was an increase of 10.88% compared to August 2021 and up nearly 50% on September last year.

The current vacancy rate is 5.6% which compares very favourably to the national figure of 14.1%.  Unfortunately there are some large prominent units in the Town Centre that make the public think the situation is worse than it is but new businesses continue to open and another 10 are currently in the pipeline.
