Beach Sand Courts
The Beach Sand Courts in Worthing were built in 2011, established to encourage greater participation in sport by transforming disused tennis courts at the Beach House Grounds into a multi-sport sand facility. The project was supported by Adur & Worthing Councils’ Regeneration Team, and a few years later, floodlighting was added through funding from West Sussex County Council’s Kick Start Programme, allowing for year-round use.
Since their creation, the sand courts have gained popularity and now host various sand sports clubs and activities, including Sussex Beach Volleyball Club, Beach Tennis UK, Beach Soccer, and Hydro Watersports, making them a vibrant hub for outdoor sport in the community.
