The story of Marie Curie Cancer Care starts in 1934, the same year the National Health Service was launched, with a remarkable woman named Marie Skłodowska-Curie whose scientific research won her two noble prizes and has inspired the charitable work of thousands over the years. Since the original founding of this charity the main aim has been dedicated to alleviating suffering from cancer today… Not all of us can be doctors, nor fight in the war against the disease itself… But we CAN all help those who are fighting already.
