Worthing Rowing Club
Worthing Rowing Club, established in 1880, is one of the oldest clubs in Worthing, located at Splash Point on Marine Parade, just a five-minute walk east of the Pier in Central Worthing.
The club holds regular training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM onwards, with some members training most days. For younger athletes, the Junior section caters to those aged 16 and under, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
As a coastal rowing club, Worthing Rowing Club welcomes rowers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. While the club primarily races along the coast, it also owns river boats and participates in inland races during the winter months.
The club is affiliated with the Coast ARA (CARA), the Hants & Dorset ARA (H&DARA), and British Rowing (BR). Throughout the year, members compete in regattas along the South Coast, from Herne Bay to Swanage, as well as on the river. The season typically concludes with the South Coast Championships, which gathers clubs from CARA, H&DARA, and the West of England ARA.
