Worthing Food & Drink Festival isn’t just about the food and drink. This year we’ve added even more for families, with activities, entertainment and plenty to keep younger visitors busy throughout the weekend.
Taking place in Steyne Gardens on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, the festival is free to attend and makes a great family day out in Worthing.
New for 2026: Mini Bounce World
One of our biggest new additions this year is Mini Bounce World, brought to the festival by Dave Hunt’s Bounce World.
We’re bringing a mini version of the popular attraction right into Steyne Gardens, giving the kids somewhere to bounce, play and burn off some energy while you enjoy the festival.
Follow the treasure hunt
There’ll be plenty to discover around the festival too, with a treasure hunt taking families around the site and lots of little games and challenges to have a go at along the way.
Can you guess the weight of the cakes, work out how many sweets are in the jar and, most importantly, find the seagull hiding somewhere around the festival?
It’s a fun way to explore the whole event and see what you can discover along the way.
Face painting and caricatures
We’ll have a face painter and caricature artist joining us over the weekend, so the kids can have their faces painted and even take home a fun drawing of themselves as a little reminder of the day.
Live music on the main stage
There’ll be plenty happening on our main stage throughout the weekend too, so grab some food, find a spot and enjoy the entertainment together.
The line-up includes live music, Rock Choir and steel drums, with performers including Honey Bee, Mica Allen, Chris Keats, Anne Whiteside, Ministry of Anthems, Emma Olsen and Repeat Offenders.
Little extras to make the day easier
We know taking children to a busy festival can sometimes require a bit of extra planning, so we’ll have a few useful things available to make the day easier for families.
There will be free drinking water and free suncream, plus ear defenders available for children who might find the noise and busy atmosphere a little overwhelming.
With loads of food to try, Mini Bounce World, games, a treasure hunt, face painting, caricatures and live entertainment, there’s plenty to make a whole family day of it.
