Christmas in Worthing

Worthing is getting ready for Christmas and this year there is so much going on.

Friday November 22nd

Christmas Lights are switched on  – Worthing doesn’t hold a switch on event because the lights are fed from so many different power sources it isn’t possible to switch them on together without a huge investment in infrastructure resulting in a lot less lights.

The Christmas Lights are funded by the Worthing Town Centre Initiative with business contributions and this year more than ever it is important to show your thanks by supporting your Worthing traders.  Adur & Worthing Councils fund the Christmas Trees in South Street and outside the Town Hall and historically the Rotary Club have funded the Montague Place tree but there have been issues with the tree being damaged by the wind and so it has been decided not to install this tree in 2019.
