The Worthing Town Centre Initiative are holding a conference for Town Centre businesses from 5.30pm on Thursday 24th February 2022 to review the draft business plan for the BID.

This conference will provide businesses with the opportunity to review the draft plan, then discuss ideas and suggestions for changes that should be considered, before the formal proposal goes to ballot in October 2022.
The BID has been in place since 2008 so this will be the 4th term proposal. Without the BID there would be no Christmas Lights, no Business Crime Reduction Partnership, no Rangers, no Deep Cleaning of the streets and chewing gum removal, no Worthing Town Centre Guide, no bunting and a lot less flowers and events. The business plan will be in place for 5 years from 2023 to 2028; so if changes are needed now is the time to ensure the BID business plan continues to deliver for the Town Centre business community.
The event will also provide a networking opportunity; and as it is a business meeting we felt that providing cheese and wine would be appropriate. (Wine, soft drinks and grazing platters will be provided for attendees)
The meeting will be held at Rooms. which is upstairs in the Guildbourne Centre and will start with networking from 5.30pm. The formal presentations and discussions will start at around 6.10pm, then there will be more time to speak to other Worthing businesses. The event will close at 8pm but feel free to just pop in if you can’t stay for the full event. There will be an ideas / suggestion board so you don’t have to wait if you need to get away.
This is your Business Improvement District so don’t be shy in having your say – if it can’t be delivered within the budget of the BID then we will be linking into The future of Worthing Forum and Local Authority groups.
Businesses are also invited to attend The Future of Worthing Forum at Coast Cafe on Monday 28th February, starting 7.00 pm.
