The Worthing Business Improvement District (BID) is currently in the last year of its 3rd term and in October its will be time for businesses to vote again to decide if they wish to continue.
During June & July every business, eligible to vote, has been receiving a visit with a copy of the 4th term BID proposals and a questionnaire to ensure ballot papers are sent to the correct person. Its been great talking to everyone and the feedback has been very positive – there are some issues around parking, youth disorder and anti-social behaviour that will be fed into Worthing Borough Councils “Big Listening Campaign.”
The ballot will be conducted by post and will be open from 3rd October to 31st October 2022; with the result announced by 5pm on 1st November. Businesses with a rateable value of £12,000, or more, will be liable to pay the BID levy so only these businesses will have voting rights.
We hope businesses will continue to support the BID for Worthing Town Centre so work on our vision of a town that is clean, safe and vibrant, a lively heart of the community, where visitors are engaged and businesses thrive can continue.
